I spent a few days in Louisville, KY this week for work and had the chance to visit with a friend from High School.  We met at Bliss Gallery and Gift Shop.  Pam has several of her fine and folk art paintings there  Beautiful work.  I really loved your work, especially the stories that go along with each painting.  I also loved the shop and it's location.  What a terrific selection of unique items.  Check out both Pam's and Bliss Gallery's blog sites and visit the shop at the Westport Village in Louisville.

I stitched the scarf pieces together last night.  Don't like the way they look.  So, I'm going to take them apart and try again....

On a more positive note, I took a custom order today for a Burgundy version of my Coco Little Bag model from a friend and ran into another friend as I was buying the burgundy cloth.  She was also interested in my bags.  Interest seems to be picking up.

I went to Yoga last night.  It was a terrific class.  I'm so happy to be over the problems with my knee and able to practice again.

On the weaving front:  I have now completed all of the light weight rayon squares, woven on my Potholder loom, that now needed to be joined to form an 18" square scarf.  This is my first try like this.  We'll see how well I can join them.  I don't want to be able to see the joining.

It's going to be a busy recruiting day today.  Love it.

2 new Little Bags added to my Etsy shop

I added 2 new really cute Little Bags yesterday to my Etsy Shop.  1 was my second try with adding a frame.  This one was easier to do.  I've used some very light weight rayon slub thread to weave the front and back for each of the 2 I've made.  They both turned out really fancy looking, especially with the satin lining that I used.  Both are bags that I would carry on a dressy evening out.  The other new bag is a cute shoulder bag with bright red satin lining and tan linen with stripes of a mixture of black, blue and red thread.  I braided the same thread mixture to make the sides, bottom and shoulder strap.  It turned out great.  I'm tempted to keep that bag for myself!

Welcome to my Blog

This is my first attempt at blogging.  I'm looking forward to it.  It's a rainy day today.  So, I'm spending it adding more products at my store on Etsy:  www.Andy0514.etsy.com and learning more places to market my products online.    I've been on Etsy for a little over 1 month so far and have sold 2 items.  I'm thinking that this is a pretty good ratio for my handwoven and other handmade fiber arts.  If you're reading this, welcome.  Let me know you were here.  And, I hope you come back.  Andy
